The “Just Say It” campaign is implemented as part of the project “Women Say No to Violence – STOP VIOLENCE PROJECT” by the Association of Women’s Organizations of Heraklion & Heraklion Prefecture and the Non-Profit Civil Company Immortaliting. It is an open invitation to every woman to share a short personal story or the experience of someone close to her related to gender-based violence. The campaign is designed with respect for the mental health of participants, ensuring that the process of expression and sharing is not re-traumatizing but empowering. The goal is to amplify women’s voices, to shed light on the forms of violence through everyday stories, and to mobilize the community against tolerance of violence and in favor of prevention and support for women.
We are creating a series of videos to be shared on TikTok and the project’s social media, where real stories of gender-based violence will be publicly shared – with respect, sensitivity, and anonymity – to break the silence and strengthen collective resistance to violence against women.
Share a personal experience or the experience of someone close to you, maintaining complete anonymity, by answering 5 questions either through a 1-minute video or in writing.
The project “WOMEN SAY NO TO VIOLENCE – STOP VIOLENCE PROJECT” is implemented by the Association of Women’s Organizations (Union of Women Association) and Immortaliting, within the framework of the PREVENT program, co-funded by the European Union through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) program, the Bodossaki Foundation, and the NGO Support Centre, with a total grant amount of €2.3 million.
